Implementation Director plans and directs professional implementation service operations and resources to deploy technical systems, software, hardware, or solutions. Oversees the operations of a team of project managers, business analysts, technology consultants, and implementation specialists who interface with client organizations to implement technical solutions. Being an Implementation Director ensures that the timelines, planning, scoping, and cost estimates support successful projects that meet the needs of the client organization. Develops team skills and expertise with coaching and training activities. Additionally, Implementation Director requires a bachelor's degree in area of technical specialty. Typically reports to top management. The Implementation Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Implementation Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
