Position Summary: Responsible for the flow of raw materials and finished goods including global vendors and suppliers.
Position responsibilities:
- Review unconfirmed backorder file and confirmed orders based on product availability and receiving dates from outside vendors.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning Team to maximize the global planning platform on the placing of new and existing production items.
- Evaluate and make decisions on the placement of new and existing products based on our global partner lead times, customer required receiving dates and cost.
- Purchase and schedule receipts on all imported finished and greige good styles from all CHF partners.
- Engage with global fabric suppliers and our freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of shipments as well as best pricing practices.
- Enter purchase orders on a timely basis to ensure product availability based on customer requirements.
- Update purchase orders and communicate changes to our global partners as requirements change.
- Review and analyze as required the inventory position and backorder reports against actual usage and advise leadership of areas of concern.
- Work with Sales and Service Excellence Teams on priority items to be reviewed for production.
- Maintain and update the outsourcing style file as new styles are approved to be manufactured by outside vendor.
- Approve port, carrier, and freight forwarder charges.
- Procure rate charges for both ocean container and expedited air.
- Ensure there are enough current rates on carriers and freight forwarders to supply CHF current demand at all points of departure.
- Work with Logistics Manager-Distribution Center as required.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 3 – 5 years progressive experience logistics and supply chain experience preferred
- Manufacturing and/or textile experience preferred.
- Basic accounting skills
- Proficient in MS Suite of products including Word, Excel, and MS TEAMS.
- Familiar with international shipping requirements.
Education requirements:
- BA/BS Business Administration, Management, logistics preferred.
- HS Diploma and commensurate experience considered.
