- Job Summary
- Following established department policies and procedures, posts payments made to the hospital. Is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per hospital standards, processing payments quickly, accurately and efficiently, and safeguarding company assets.
- Process deposits for UVA Community Health UVA Community Health.
- Post general ledger entries for miscellaneous payments such as durable medical equipment.
- Processes credit and/or debit card transactions and validate checks.
- Serves as notary to patients applying for financial assistance.
- Train department employees designated as cashier relief.
- Assist customers with basic account/bill questions, set up payment plans, and refer to Financial Counselor as needed.
- Provides administrative support to business operations by performing processing tasks such as data entry, scanning, mail sorting or similar activities.
- Perform other job-related duties as directed by Supervisor

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience
- Notary Public or obtain within six months of employment
- Ability to deal with the public.
- Ability to use computers, handle money and count change
- Must be detail-oriented and be able to adapt to a changing work environment.
- Friendly and helpful personality
- Basic math
