Position is responsible for developing & growing the Danfoss Climate Solutions portfolio within the Food Retail Vertical in North America. Reports to the Vice President, DCS Sales, NAM.
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Sales management and business development of Food Retail businesses in North America.
- Develop sales and market share in Food Retail business; develop & implement mid-to-long term strategies toincrease penetration and growth; liaise across verticals, sales channels &market segments. Responsible for aggressive sales development of new and existing sales; maintaining and cultivating customer relationships with emphasis on key decision makers and influencers.
- Harvest synergy opportunities with other channels & verticals in Climate Solutions.
- Prioritize and organize needed training withApplications and Technical Support.
- Oversee a team of specialized vertical sales & business development professionals including developing, coaching, and improving their competencies.
- Deliver forecast, sales tracking, and other business reporting visibility to relevant stakeholders.
- Work with management to define and manage development activities with the Account Managers, global stakeholders with a focus on aggressive growth agenda.
- Support and act as a role model in utilization and implementation of Sales processes - pipeline, account plans, lead generation
- Ensure key interactions with the business units, line of business, product management, and strategic marketing to secure alignment with market needs.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Develop in depth customer understanding identifying areas Danfoss can bring greatest value within the Vertical product portfolios.
- Provide competitive insight to marketing teams.
- Oversee development of Key Account Plans with an aggressive growth horizon based upon customer business needs and customer focused value propositions.
- Ensure updated records kept by the team of all customers related activities and tasks in CRM, and secure application of corporate sales processes.
- Ensure team develops and maintains an active Opportunity Pipeline for all accounts.
- Deliver forecast and business visibility to relevant stake holders.
- In coordination with upper management and HR, define and secure development activities needed for the team members.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or Business, Master's degree a plus.
- 10 years' technical or sales management experience working with OEMs, system integrators, service partners, distribution channels & end users within HVAC industry.
- 3 years in a managerial role
- Proven track record of successfully managing and developing sales team in a B2B environment.
- Knowledge in HVAC&R applications, heat exchanges, and other controls and systems.
- Superior business acumen and strategy deployment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong personal resilience, highly motivated team player with a strong personal drive.
