- Provide direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and document patient's vital signs and medical history
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
- Assist with surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative care
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medications, and self-care techniques
- Utilize electronic medical record systems such as Athenahealth for documentation purposes
```Qualifications:```
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical setting
- Knowledge of suture removal and wound care techniques
- Proficient in medical documentation and case management
- Familiarity with occupational health and physical examinations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Experience with coding and billing practices is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities
Must be able to take the VHC EKG Exam.
Pay: $70.00 per hour
