JOB FUNCTION
Maintains and monitors all phases of the Production ERP system. Supports Materials Manager in department activities. Supervises Shipping and Receiving associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise Shipping and Receiving associates
- Schedules inbound and outbound shipments
- Processes EDI data for export to MRP
- Monitors other EDI activities including record maintenance, updates and daily customer requirements
- Conducts all training and creates work instructions for EDI and shipping systems.
- Interface with customers for shipping communications as needed.
- Review customers websites daily for material/shipping items
- Assures materials are shipped correctly and all records are updated in the ERP system.
- Assures materials are shipped using FIFO
- Participate in APQP Launch process for plant layout/storage required for new programs
- Backup for receiving materials and components into the ERP system
- Supports and participates in weekly plant wide inventory/cycle counts
- Participate in monitoring inventory locations for accuracy. Report any discrepancies to management
- Primary backup for materials information reported in Daily Production Management Meeting
- Primary backup for shipping/receiving personnel
- Monitor and maintain both blanket and regular purchase orders
- Purchase non-production, MRO and chemical requirements Keep orderly/organized and safe offices/warehouse
- Absorb production scheduling based on customer requirements and determined safety stock
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must possess the following:
- Must have previous ERP experience. Having Plex experience a plus.
- High school diploma, APICS CPIM (or equivalent) certification
- Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Must observe and practice all safety regulations. This includes the wearing of and proper usage of the necessary personal protective equipment required for any task.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Must be able to work overtime and to work overtime at short notice. Must be able to work well with other associates and follow all company rules, regulations and policies.
