What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist - PACE position at EMPATH HEALTH?

Obtains blood and other specimen samples from participants in the PACE clinic and/or their residences in our community and performs related duties involving patient care and specimen processing.

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification from a reputable Phlebotomy or Laboratory assistant training program preferred
• 6 months experience with Phlebotomy preferred
• Proficiency using EMR and E-mail system
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Access to reliable transportation
• Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) or Fit for Duty examination (as necessary) with “Capable” result required.
