Job Purpose EnerSys is seeking a talented Human Resources Generalist to join our high performing HR team. The HR Generalist position is responsible for completing a variety of tasks supporting the daily operations of the HR Department. This role is key to maintaining our employer of choice culture through both administrative and strategic responsibilities. This position is a hybrid position working 3 days in the office and two remote. Partial support & travel may be required to a local facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within the Human Resources department.
Ability to handle confidential and discrete employee related matters.
HR related project management .
Manage and administer service award program.
Assist with employee relation and investigation efforts.
Policy and procedure administration.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, update policies and procedures as required.
Provide guidance and interpretation for business operations
Be involved in continuous improvement and efficiency of the HR department and organization striving to improve employee experience.
Support the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
Administrator of Background and Drug & Alcohol Program.
United Way leader as well as planning an executing other company events.
Manage relationships with discount partners.
Administrative support.
Other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience or 2-year degree in Human Resources with 5 years of experience or 7 years in the HR field. Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of SuccessFactors HRIS system Manufacturing experience preferred HR Certification PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP Competencies Possess above average written and verbal communication skills; be competent with computer skills in use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and applicable ATS and HRIS systems, with ability to create spreadsheets for analysis and tracking of various information. Negotiation skills a must for conflict resolution. Knowledge in HR administration principles/practices, and excellent interpersonal skills. General Job Requirements
