Overview of position:
FEDITC is seeking a Database Administrator to work in the National Capital Region with the possibility of working remotely. A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position. This is an upcoming opportunity with the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) with a projected start date of March 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible for performing logical and physical database designs
- Other support duties as needed/directed
Qualifications
Experience/Skills:
Must have a minimum 5 years of experience in the following:
- Managing web operations for a program or project similar to this contract in terms of size and complexity
- Performing logical and physical database designs
- Reviewing logical and physical designs of existing databases and making recommendations to improve and enhance operating efficiency
- Performing data analysis, database design, development activities, and implementation, as required for database development, operations, and maintenance
- Data processing design principles, techniques, and methods used to analyze and translate user requirements into plans for system input, output, files, controls, and processing methods
- Operating system components that load, execute, store, and retrieve application programs/tables
- Managing DB2 and/or SQL Server
- Managing DB2 databases on Z/OS or OS390 systems
- Designing back-up, recovery, and archiving strategies and managing and maintaining data definitions in all production and non-production databases
- Designing, monitoring, and tuning large, high volume DB2 databases on the Z/OS platform
- The software tools used to tune and monitor DB2 on the Z/OS platform, including DB2 Tools and OMEGAMON
Education:

Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Clearance:
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required or must be obtained within 30 days.
- Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
