REPORTS TO: Vice Presidents of Sales & Marketing, dotted line to CEO

LOCATION: BURLINGTON, NJ

A leading Industrial and Commercial Furniture manufacturer and supplier is looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our business.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Development Manager will be tasked with generating growth across our current product lines and business segments. Additional product lines and market segments will also be evaluated for potential growth opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.

· Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.

· Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.

· Promote the company’s products/services addressing and collaborating with customers

· Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.

· Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.

· Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support

· Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers

· Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

· 5 years of business/sales development experience.

· Past experience in workspace design, interior design or product design would be beneficial.

· Demonstrated ability in strategic sales planning and execution.

· Ability to understand customer needs and cultivate relationships with C-level decision makers.

· Ability to manage long-sales-cycle engagements.

· Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with senior-level contacts.

· Excellent communication skills, including presentation skills.

· Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE:

· Travel may be required by car or plane.

· Work occurs primarily remotely however may require periodic time in the Burlington NJ office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay
  • Commission pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Burlington, NJ 08016: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Business development: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Sales: 1 year (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Burlington, NJ 08016

Salary : $80,000 - $160,000
