What are the responsibilities and job description for the Portfolio Manager position at Fiserv?
Manages the portfolio of projects, programs and processes. This management responsibility includes ensuring the engagement of departments within the Business Unit, Finance, Application Development, PMO, and/or input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). In addition, the Portfolio Manager works with the Enterprise Level Project & Portfolio Management office to ensure the data integrity of the work is to standard. Responsible for the Key Performance Indicators reporting and data hygiene of the portfolio; to include governance creation and implementation, defect clean up and ad hoc reporting.
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree or equivalent, plus 8-10 years progressive management experience
Scope of Job
1. Process owner of the project submission, process adherence and financial approval for projects
2. Assist with the development of and adherence to the project portfolio model
3. Institutionalize and maintain the project submission and prioritization process
4. Measure portfolio health, status, and variances against a baseline
5. Maintain the portfolio on an ongoing basis to include, but not limited to, existing and pending projects, change control, strategic alignment, ensuring all projects meet data integrity standards
6. Communication and Reporting to stakeholders using effective reporting tools
7. Reporting to include insight, options, and recommendations that demonstrate compliance with organizational goals and standards
8. Act as an escalation point for projects that may be in jeopardy due to risk or issues experienced during the project creation, life cycle, or project closure.
9. Expedites projects, planned or unplanned, as necessary to meet the firms overall objectives.
10. Ensure the projects delivered to the project manage office include all necessary artifacts and SME knowledge required to make the project successful
11. SME on project creation; Train requestors in project creation
12. Facilitate, Co-Lead Tier 1 Clarity Help Desk
13. Requires frequent contact with both internal customers and product requestors.
14. Performs duties under minimal supervision, working with the management team and escalating most serious issues as appropriate. Interprets and engages resources to support the organization goals.
