What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Lead position at FTS Inc?
We are very excited to partner with a reputable manufacturing company in the Buffalo market in search of their next Accounting Lead support the leadership team and Accounting Department.
This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while reviewing the general ledger, inputting journal entries, preparing financial statements, and creating financial worksheets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage vendor payments: voucher invoices, print checks, and initiate wire transfers.
- Process customer payments, record sales transactions, and manage cash flow.
- Review and approve non-inventory purchase requisitions.
- Post journal entries for month-end accruals.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and audit employee expense reports.
- Monitor accounts payable activity and prepare variance reports.
- Assist in budget preparation, cost reporting, and financial audits.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare annual 1099 forms.
- Improve departmental procedures for greater efficiency.
- Provide guidance to direct reports and conduct annual performance reviews.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
- 8 years of analytical accounting experience.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience within an ERP business systems.
- Up-to-date knowledge of accounting practices.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
