What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Agent position at FTS Inc?
One of the fastest-growing home builders in the Southeast region is looking to find a Purchasing Agent to join their team. This builder prides itself on a customer-focused approach, attention to detail & building a culture that portrays company values. Within the last two years, they have exceeded their growth plans and continue to raise the bar in their sought-out company visions. Due to their recent growth, they are actively hiring a Purchasing Agent.
Responsibilities:
- Generating purchase orders, budgets, and process change orders.
- Researching, verifying, and amending invoices from the Accounting Team.
- Researching and replying to inquiries from onsite agents, trade partners, employees, and suppliers.
- Evaluate and look over homeowner documentation for accuracy, pricing, and costing.
- Use BuildPro/SupplyPro to review and facilitate the flow of information between Design, Construction, and Trades (internal and external).
- Inspect and provide reports on-budget performance.
- Assist with bid solicitation, coordination, analysis, and loading of pricing information that is needed for construction budgets.
- Change vendors when needed.
Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred, or relevant experience.
- Construction knowledge - preferably residential construction .
- Purchasing experience preferred.
- Experience with Newstar, Enterprise or Build Pro.
- Organization and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail & accuracy required.
- Go-getter mentality with a growth mindset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
