Position Summary
Have you worked with on-page SEO? Metadata tags? If so, we need your skills here at Gargle. This position is remote 3 days a week and onsite two days. Gargle is looking for a junior level SEO Admin who enjoys analytics and constantly looks for incremental improvements. Someone who naturally circles back to the data to see if their efforts are effective. We have no interest in box checkers, we want creative marketing types who aren't afraid to have an opinion. Responsibilities
- Work with a strategist to create comprehensive campaigns to improve rank, conversion, and overall traffic
- Off site link research
- Work with in-house copywriters to develop content for on-site SEO efforts
- Manage, track, and report on organic growth using in-house tools.
- Responsible for the execution of all SEO-related tasks and deliverables
- Provide consultation on all aspects of SEO
- You will be involved in weekly and daily standup team meetings to discuss strategy and review progress of specific clients.
Qualifications
- Between 1-3 years experience in an SEO role
- Strong passion for SEO/ digital marketing with expectations to learn more and grow professionally
- Moderate to strong understanding of on-page SEO factors.
- Some knowledge of what separates a good link from a bad one
- Moderate to strong understanding of how site /information architecture can influence rankings
- Have at least some ability to diagnose site issues by researching within Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and/or Screaming Frog
- Has at least a limited understanding of what E-A-T is and knows why it’s important to SEO
- At least a basic understanding of CSS/HTML
- Experience with WordPress and other content management systems preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Works well in a team environment
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Tag Manager and any other industry tools such as: SEOmoz, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog or other crawlers, etc. (Ahref, SEMrush experience preferred)
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sense of ownership, drive and urgency
- Self-starter willing to tackle projects with excitement
