Job Summary
Obtains blood specimens from patients. May be called on to collect throat specimens. May also perform clerical duties, computer based activities, and may perform some laboratory procedures as required.
Job Duties
- Collects proper and adequate specimens for diagnostic testing while maintaining positive patient relations.
- Assists other laboratory staff members in computer-based activities and general clerical responsibilities.
- Accepts assignments readily and adapts to various workplace environments, serving as a hospital liaison member.
- Accepts new responsibilities and offers suggestions for improved processes or enhanced patient care.
- Consistently performs assigned test procedures at assigned work stations according to departmental specifications.
- Complies with policy and procedures.
