Hotel General Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on General Manager to oversee all aspects of our client's boutique hotel. As General Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of service, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. You will have the opportunity to lead a passionate team, drive business growth, and create memorable experiences for our guests in the heart of Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations, including front desk management, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
• Manage revenue generation and cost control initiatives to achieve financial targets and maximize profitability.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive occupancy, room revenue, and food and beverage sales.
• Foster positive relationships with guests, stakeholders, and local community partners to enhance the hotel's reputation and visibility.
• Implement and enforce hotel policies, procedures, and standards to maintain compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
• Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a boutique hotel setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Sound financial acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data, manage budgets, and drive revenue growth.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a commitment to excellence in hospitality.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
