Position Description
HOURCAR is a non-profit carshare organization dedicated to providing sustainable transportation solutions to our community. We are seeking an IT Technician to help us in our mission by leveraging HOURCAR’s technology platform to meet service goals. Responsibilities
· Ensure optimal configuration of the technology platform staging (STAG) and production (PROD) environments including apps, front office (FO), back office (BO), and registration workflow.
· Operate the “internal help desk” for other teams, which involved managing the in-hours ticketing system to:
o Field questions from other departments about software configurations or features
o Field and prioritize requests for issues and bug fixes
o Create and manage support tickets for issues involving HOURCAR’s reservation software
· Analyze configuration issues with HOURCAR’s reservation software, develop, and implement appropriate action items and resolutions
· Identify opportunities for new feature development and solutions to end-user challenges with current technology and add them to the Technology Roadmap, in consultation with the IT Manager
· Serve as subject matter expert on configuration matters, including standards, tools, processes, and system functionality
· Provide configuration inputs for new updates and features within HOURCAR’s reservation software and mobile apps, including providing app assets and images when needed
· Develop testing plans and conduct and oversee all testing of new software products and features, ensuring all releases meet HOURCAR’s quality standards
· Manage the release of new app versions, including publishing builds to the Apple App Store and Google Play, as well as creating internal documentation of new features and training relevant departments on new functionality as needed
· Schedule and conduct regular audits on configuration and application testing procedures, internal troubleshooting processes, and implement audit recommendations
Qualifications
You have:
· A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
· Previous experience working with ticketing, task, and project management software; or a willingness to learn
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects
· Strong skills working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and fluent in English
· A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets HOURCAR’s qualifications for membership
You are:
· Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
· Able to interact with diverse audiences respectfully and cordially at all times
· Committed to working with other HOURCAR staff as part of the whole team, including respecting others’ identities, using correct pronouns, and respecting different styles of learning and interacting
Desired Experience
· Use or management of white labeled software of app solution
· Knowledgeable about electric vehicles/EVSE and experience working with carsharing or other multimodal transportation
· Experience publishing apps store App Store or Google Play
Physical Requirements
· Able to sit or stand for a sustained period of time
· Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English
· Frequent use of communication devices including computer and telephone
· Ability to concentrate, learn and retain knowledge
· Ability to lift 35 pounds

Pay: $21.50 - $24.00 per hour
