Location: Remote
Duration: 2-3 months Possible contract to hire
Description
Responsibilities
Support daily leave administration tasks such as audits, reporting, 23/26 week leave exhaustion tasks, system administration to track leave, and support leave Advisors with case follow up tasks
Provides support with simple escalations as a first line of defense, as well as day-to-day claim inquiries to leaders and employees
Oversee the leave process with our employees and third party administrator by obtaining fitness for duty when necessary, helping employees follow the requirements and process, obtaining medical documentation/information as needed, and providing a white glove transition back to work
Track and support daily State leave tasks, as required, as well as ensuring the proper documentation is received to support the need for leave
Support Risk Management with workers' compensation related issues and appropriate tracking
May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues
Qualifications
Skills:
Experience working within complex Employee Relations and Leave issues including knowledge of FMLA, ADA and Title VII.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally
Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects
Ability to complete work independently and receive general guidance on new work/projects
Education
BA, BS or equivalent work experience preferred
Languages
English, Read, Write, Speak
Spanish, Read, Write, Speak
Certifications & Licenses
Certification in Human Resources preferred
