Performs work associated with the installation, calibration, and operation of different kinds of production machines, depending on company specialization or materials used. Job Duties: Tests and inspects machines to determine safe and efficient operation, performs routine maintenance, and fixes standard malfunctions. Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation. Checks that items produced pass quality control test.
Qualifications
Experience and Education: Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. Typically requires HS and 6 years.
