What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crew Chief/Shift Lead- IHOP position at IHOP?

We are looking for experienced Crew Chiefs for our IHOP locations! We are wanting an individual with initiative and strong leadership ability. In the absence of management, the crew chief assumes the duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Manager. The crew
chief continues all responsibilities of the craft position works, in addition
to the responsibilities listed below.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising the activities of servers, cooks, hosts, and other Crew Members.
- Educating Crew Members on proper food handling procedures and customer service.
- Ensuring that established guidelines on hygiene, quality, and food safety are followed.
- Resolving customer complaints and answering questions regarding pricing and menu items.
- Assisting Crew Members in processing payments using the restaurant's Point of Sale system.
- Ensures a safe working environment by role modeling and requiring safe work behaviors.
- Provides regular feedback to the team
- Enforce portion control per Standard Operating Procedures Manuals. Check deliveries for proper quantity, quality, pricing, completeness of order, breakage, and spoilage.
- Control waste.
- Preform administrative procedures when needed
- Ability to apply common sense and to understand and carry out detailed and objective written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to speak and read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; and ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and guests
- Basic computer skills including Email, MS Excel, MS Word is a plus
