Job DescriptionThe Housing Manager is the main point of contact responsible for event planning and servicing the hotel program for Informa show teams. They lead the account in cooperation with our housing partner and official hotels and determine the overall event management strategy, manage hotel inventory from opening of event to hotel pre-show cut-off, sending over rooming lists, cut-off extensions and the onsite experience all while proving customer service to the show team and their clients. The goal is to maximize room block capture and growth with a customer-focused leader. You are always attuned with hotel industry trends and market conditions for an optimal and profitable event accommodations support, driving value for Informa and for our clients.
You will focus on the event management of the show hotels for their assigned show/events. They will serve as the main client touch point to lead communication and overall deliverables in effective housing management and nurture the hotel relationships. The Housing Manager will work directly with their event Hotel Contracting Manager and show teams to develop and implement the housing strategy while utilizing his/her hotel expertise.
- Build Event and actively manage and maximize hotel rooms blocks
- Conduct Quality Assurance process of website build prior to go-live
- Analyze performance of event's hotel block pick-up and registration numbers against budget weekly
- Always strive to increase hotel pick-up performance and revenue
- Manage on-site service plan
- Collect and analyze final room block pick-up and revenue for both on-site and post event reporting to ensure accurate and timely delivery of billing.
- Manage staff rooming list to maximize concessions and cost containment goals
- Execute VIP Customer Outreach
Continually enhance relationships between the Hotel Global Sales Office and Informa, Hotel Property and Convention & Visitors Bureau through communication and networking.
Qualifications- College Degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in hospitality industry hotel room sales or meeting planning
- Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude and team player
- Exceptional relationship management skills
- Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task.
- Ability to make thorough decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive conflict management and resolution skills
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Suite products

- The pay range for this position is $53,125- $65,000
