Summary/General Description Of Job:
The Crane Operator operates a mechanical boom and cable or tower and cable equipment to lift and move materials, machines, or products in multiple directions.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Operates cranes to lift, move, and load machinery, equipment, and a variety of loose materials; moves pedals and levers to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement in response to signals from worker on floor.
- Observes load hookup and determines safety of load.
- Cleans and lubricates crane, and assists maintenance mechanic for maintenance.
- Inspect crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of mechanical or electrical malfunctions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
May perform work in other classifications when incidental work is necessary to the accomplishment of the work assignment. Significant work in another job classification may be required if accompanied by any wage adjustments applicable.

- The proper use of tools and equipment commonly used in the crane operating field.
- Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
- Timely and cost effective performance of duties.
- Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.
- Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.
- Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.
- Having the ability to work well under pressure.
Mandatory
- Four years experience operating bridge, portal, or mobile cranes up to 120‑ton capacity.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Washington State class "A" commercial driver's license and crane operator certification for up to 120 tons with an acceptable driving record and have knowledge of rigging and forklift operations.
- Must obtain and maintain required medical and operational explosives certifications when assigned to ordnance operations.
- Must meet and maintain company physical and security requirements, and clearance eligibility when required.
- Must possess good communication skills for a service team environment.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- U.S. Citizenship.
