At this time, our Northeast Structural Team is looking for a Structural Engineer, EIT for our New York City Office, who is curious about the possibility of working on projects of great impact that encompass a multi-disciplinary approach.  With your solid understanding of the design phase of projects that may consist of but not limited to transportation facilities, underground and commercial structures including marine ports, you’ll have the chance to work on projects including the structural design for new state-of –the art facilities as well as existing structural upgrades. 

With guidance from our technical experts, you’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget and schedule for assigned tasks.  You’ll effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes.  

Tasks may include assisting with the research, structural field inspection and design, concept development, planning, details and drawings, including calculations for new designs, rehabilitation and renovation work and construction of load-bearing structures or structural elements, such as buildings structures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

Here’s What You’ll Need:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis 
•    Progressive experience in designing building structures 
•    Engineer in Training (EIT)
•    Experience working in a multi-discipline project team 
•    Excellent communication and writing skills and well organized
•    Construction support services for building projects 
•    Experience with leading industry Structural design and analysis software (RAM Steel, STAADPro, SAP2000, RISA, etc.)
•    Experience with Revit (BIM), AutoCAD, and MicroStation

Ideally, you’ll also have: 
•    Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (or Civil Engineering with a Structural Emphasis)
•    Experience with transportation facilities and/or commercial buildings
•    Experience with Bluebeam and NavisWorks
•    Structural Engineer, (S.E.) license
