We have an immediate opening for an Executive Account Manager. We want you to bring your talent and commitment to our team and build a lasting, professionally, and personally fulfilling career. The Executive Account Manager is responsible for strengthening and maintaining our company's relationships with its current clients and ensuring the continued growth and profitability of the Employee Benefits Practice. Some of the success metrics for this position include the retention and addition of employee benefits clients, process improvements, and development of in house employees.
The Executive Account Manager must also be capable of helping obtain new clients through occasional interaction with prospects on a business and personal level. The Executive Account Manager will also indirectly assist in client development through the efficient management of back-office operations, allowing our principals and brokers to focus on new client generation. In addition, the Executive Account Manager must be adept at all duties and requirements of account management and at times be able to lead account management for a select block of accounts. The Executive Account Manager must also contribute to by working with the team to develop new products and/or services that can be marketed to existing clients and prospects.
Your Daily Impact at Innovative
Sales/Presentations
Contacts carriers through e-mail to obtain quotes for Medical, Dental, Life and Disability rates understanding the nuances and differences of each carrier in order to solicit timely and accurate information.
Follows up with carriers to ensure that quotes arrive to coincide with sales presentations.
Analyzes quotes to ensure that quotes are complete and match client demographics and their requested services and communicates that information on a timely basis with the Sales Representatives.
Once the Sales Representative accepts the quotes, prepare and/or delegate the preparation of the Sales Presentation and the binding of presentations.
Work with compliance to stay on track to meet deadlines (e.g. 5500's, non-discrimination testing "wrap SPD")
Set up FSA and/or COBRA for clients.
Set up and coordinate client voluntary administration services (e.g. RFP for "ancillary insurance").
Client Enrollment (onboarding implementation): New Clients
Oversee and verify that all new client company information is correctly entered into the Database.
Communicate with the client contact(s). Introduce yourself and our services. Follow up with correspondence about who to contact with various potential questions/problems. Emphasize that you are the point of contact.
Complete the "Implementation Checklist" ensuring that accurate rate and plan information is entered.
Develop "Annual Service Calendar" for certain clients.
Other Duties:
Oversee and/or prepare "New Hire and Open Enrollment Kits".
Organize, set up and participate in OpenEnrollment Meetings.
Manage the day-to-day projects of selected account managers and others in the employee benefits practice to ensure a high level of client satisfaction with Innovative as measured by 100% consistent, positive feedback from clients
Assist the account managers with all the essential duties of their position including, but not limited to renewal client/prospect plan design and quoting, the accurate creation of presentations, client problem resolution, etc.
Monitor the educational needs of the account management position and coordinate/teach any courses/tutorials needed to maintain account manager proficiency.
Ensure that all client, prospect and carrier deadlines are met.
Attend regular meetings with principals to review and discuss issues relating to account management and the operation of the company, business needs, etc.
Conduct regular office meetings with staff to discuss timely and/or relevant issues relating to the company or industry.
Maintain education in the industry as measured by enrollment in or possession of various certification/degree programs (RHU, CEBS, AHIP, etc.)
The ability to develop and amend internal service systems and processes as needed due to changes in market or business conditions.
Adopt and promote the culture as a company who truly takes care of its people, defined as both customers and employees. This philosophy must manifest itself in each employee in their dealings with clients, prospects, vendors and any other person who comes in contact with our team.
Support efforts to generate new business with existing clients.
Support efforts to create new products or services and bring them to the market.
Participate in seminars to our target markets.
Offer input data to strategically plan Group Benefit Consulting engagements.
Conduct and monitor client DOL/ERISA filing preparation and submission.
Develop, coordinate and evaluate benefit plans to clients with varied funding arrangements.
Establish professional business relationship with markets, service providers and insurance companies.
Oversee routine benefit area operations to ensure equitable and timely benefit program administration.
Conform and comply with DOL, ERISA and state regulations pertaining to benefit laws.
Negotiate with vendors regarding contractual rates by reviewing contracts as against organization's performance standards.
Establish measurements to guarantee effectiveness of programs.
Research, evaluate and revise current procedures for upgrading to new requirements.
Research, identify and execute creative solutions and best practices to enable process improvement.
Have a working personal vehicle and a valid driver's license to drive to client appointments.
Sitting at a desk and typing 8 hours a day.
Standing for multiple hours at client presentations.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 5 years of experience in Employee Benefits.
REQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid driver's license and NJ state life and health insurance license(s).
