We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Permanent Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the fast-paced medical industry. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients, with a focus on Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN). This is a permanent position that offers stability and growth opportunities for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care: Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the OB/GYN department. This includes performing assessments, developing care plans, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.
2. Assist in Procedures: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist during various OB/GYN procedures, such as pap smears, pelvic exams, ultrasounds, and labor and delivery.
3. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on various aspects of women's health, including prenatal care, postpartum care, contraception, and reproductive health.
4. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, symptoms, treatments, and outcomes. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of nursing practice.
5. Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, midwives, and support staff, to ensure seamless patient care. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
6. Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergency situations, such as obstetric complications, postpartum hemorrhage, or any other critical incidents. Administer life-saving interventions and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
7. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based nursing practices. Stay updated on the latest advancements in OB/GYN nursing and apply them to enhance patient care outcomes.
Qualifications:
1. Registered Nurse: Must hold a valid nursing license and be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the relevant nursing board.
2. OB/GYN Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the OB/GYN field, preferably in a hospital setting. Experience with labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and gynecological procedures is highly desirable.
3. Strong Clinical Skills: Proficient in performing nursing assessments, developing care plans, and administering medications. Familiarity with various OB/GYN procedures and protocols.
4. Compassionate Care: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their families. Excellent bedside manner and strong communication skills.
5. Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
6. Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to make quick and accurate decisions in high-pressure situations.
7. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
