Insurance Agent

BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITIONCommunicate with potential customers by encouraging and educating them about KTAC insurance to achieve sales goals set forth by KTAC management.PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:1. Make outbound calls to existing customers to offer annual policy renewal.2. Receive inbound calls from customers, dealers, and agents about insurance.3. Process payments received over the phone.4. Generate and distribute quotes per KTAC guidelines for new policy set up.5. Request and process completed inspection forms, as required by KTAC policy.6. Verify adequate coverage for customers who are currently financed.SPECIAL PROJECTSAs assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND TRAINING:College Degree or equivalent work experience (1 year as licensed P&C Agent). General Lines P&C Texas insurance license. Must later apply and be certified in the remaining states.SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:Excellent verbal/written customer service communications skills.Computer literate.Excellent telephone etiquette.Ability to effectively convince and influence others to make purchases to meet sales goals.Previous working exposure and knowledge of insurance and a background in finance preferred.LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.EQUIPMENT OPERATION (% of time, description, nature of service): General office equipment- computer, copier, fax, phone.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Typical office environment.
