Summary/Objective
As a representative for our company you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting quality and temperature (if needed) for all products that are delivered to our kitchen. This position is responsible for putting all orders away in their respective department.
Essential Functions (subject to change with proper notice)
- Rotates stock of food and beverage using FIFO guidelines in all storage areas
- Accurately inspects all food, beverage, supplies and equipment. Communicates any mis-picks, substitutions, and shortages in a timely manner
- Ensures product is marked with correct date of service and correct department in which the item(s) will be used
- Transports item(s) to appropriate storage areas in a safe, orderly, and timely manner
- Tasked with maintaining cleanliness and organization of all receiving and storage areas, including refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage areas
- Adheres to industry accepted safe food handling guidelines
- Ensures items and goods received are safe and secure from loss
- Maintains a safe work area
- Completes general cleaning duties such as floor care, and minor equipment maintenance as needed
- Stocks shelves of refrigerators and freezer areas
- Conducts weekly physical inventory and reports to purchaser
- Drives to off-site campuses as needed
- Walk-In Refrigerator and Freezer organization should be performed twice daily. Once upon arrival to the campus, and again after deliveries have been received.
- Product should be consolidated early in the day including discarding unnecessary cardboard, re-labeling/re-stickering, etc.
- Sweeping and Mopping storage area floors should be done at the end of the workday.
- FTE Chefs will request assistance with inventory management tasks, including but not limited to disposables, chemicals, par-list items, and alcohol.
- The Receiving Manager will identify shelves to be broken down and run through the dish machine daily.

Education and Work Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in full service, moderate to high volume Restaurant, Club or Catering establishment preferred but not required
Work Environment
- Fast paced kitchen and office environment
- High sense of urgency
- Moderate to high noise level
- Exposure to soap and cleaning solutions
- Slippery/uneven surfaces may be encountered
- Frequently moving from walk-in cooler/freezer to normal kitchen environment
Requirements
- Valid King County Food Handler Permit
- Completes Learn, Legal, and Privacy courses required by Meta
- Positions at this location require proof of COVID-19 vaccinations, boosters, and/or regular COVID-19 testing.

Physical Demands
- Some heavy lifting (may lift 10-40 lbs.) and possible moving of equipment required
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision for safe navigation of work area and use of equipment
- Heavy and repetitive hand and arm motion involved in production and clean up
- Standing, walking, bending/twisting, and balance are all required to perform job task
- Reaching across surfaces while moving containers, reaching above shoulders for containers for removal and storage
- Standing a minimum of 8 hours a day
- Carrying containers of different sizes and different types of product of all shapes and sizes
- Able to work ten hours or more shift plus ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
- Must possess hearing, visual, and sensory abilities to observe and detect emergency situations; also distinguish product, taste, texture and temperature
