Painter Temp

Pay: $18-22

Hours: 730am-430pm– Overtime as needed, average of 45 hours a week.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Painter Temp. This job operates in an indoor shop environment where employee is frequently exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles. The temperature on average is moderate, however the employee may occasionally be exposed to cold/heat. This role routinely uses industrial painting equipment cranes, forklift and occasionally uses ladder and hand tools.

Essential Functions

· Cleans, prepares and paints industrial components.

· Prepares paint, cleans, scrapes, sands, primes, and/or seals surface prior to painting to ensure proper adherence.

· Tapes off areas when needed.

· Applies touchups or additional coats when needed.

· Sprays and or paints by hand when and if required.

· Polishes when and if necessary.

· Secures paint booth when not in use.

· Cleans up all equipment, including spray guns and/or brushes.

· Changes paint booth filters on a regular basis.

· Maintains materials, equipment and supplies in a condition that does not compromise safety.

· Operates overhead crane, forklift and any additional equipment required.

· Maintains clean and organized work area insuring aisles, doorways, fire extinguishers, electrical panels, etc. are clear from debris and equipment.

· Maintains inventory of painting supplies and requisitions materials as needed.

· Assists with the packaging of skids/equipment for shipping.

· Communicates with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a professional and courteous manner.

Job Requirements:

· At least 1 year of experience in spray painting in a auto, body shop, or industrial environment

· Ability to withstand standing for 8-10 hour shifts at a time

· Ability to safely operate high-volume, low pressure (HVLP) sprayers and pot sprayers

· Ability to mask, prep and tape as necessary

· Single and dual coat experience, basic cleaning duties

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· 1-year experience

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

· Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
