METER Group is seeking an Accountant II to assist our Finance team. The Accountant II performs professional accounting work, including analyzing and verifying financial records and reports, preparing financial and statistical reports, providing information to managers regarding accounting practices and procedures, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
This role works from our Pullman, WA office.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field.
- five years of related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Proficient with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate payment of vendor bills
- Enter vendor bills from email and physical mail into NetSuite for payment
- Use portals to process and pay invoices
- Initiate ACH payments from NetSuite
- Upload positive pay files to bank
- Review Accrued Purchases account for receipts not yet billed and follow up with Purchasing and/or the Vendor and reconcile the account at month end
- Reconcile vendor account statement to account detail in NetSuite
- Answer vender inquiries about payment status
- Create Asana tasks as needed
- Assist AP Supervisor as needed
- Daily, update Campbell Scientific, Inc. (CSI) Adaptive Bookings & Revenue Reports or Meter Pullman and foreign subsidiaries
- Daily, enter ACH disbursements pulled from bank accounts by vendors
- Weekly, update CSI America's dashboard with revenue, profit, and cash balances
- Monthly, reconcile cash deposit bank accounts
- Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
- Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Two medical plan options are available for full-time employees, a traditional low premium plan or a no premium high deductible plan. These plans both include dental and vision coverage.
