What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Loan Closer position at MJW Mortgage?
The Mortgage Loan Closer coordinates the closing process for residential mortgage loan transactions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate closings with escrow coordinators, Loan Officers, title companies, buyers and sellers.
- Review for accuracy all loan information in Encompass required to close a loan.
- Review and approve the final CD.
- Become familiar with investors and state’s closing requirements, forms and procedures and comply.
- Monitor fees being charged, collected, and waived to ensure proper collection of fees and revenue.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of mortgage industry concepts, practices and procedures; knowledge of mortgage loan documentation and the government insuring & loan salability processes.
- Proficiency with Encompass required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s systems.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least two years of mortgage loan Closer experience.
