JOB DESCRIPTION OF SERVER

MAIN GOAL:

To provide friendly, timely service that enhances guests dining experience through working as a professional team to enhance the environment and your relationships with co-workers which results in making money for yourself, co-workers and this establishment, while smiling and having fun.

TASKS:

Greeting, caring for and thanking guests. Taking food and drink orders with knowledge of menu items, controlling distribution of alcoholic beverages through procedures taught in training that requires mandatory attendance of quarterly meetings. Garnishing and serving food and drinks; carrying trays up to 25 pounds, ensuring food and drink items meet customer satisfaction. Removing dishes, glasses, other service items and trash from tables, refilling drinks. Processing and collecting payment for guest checks while maintaining a balanced bank. Loading, carrying, and unloading bus tubs. Sanitizing and organizing tables, chairs, booths, high chairs, booster seats, counter and stools. Setting tables or counter when guests arrive. Restocking service items at stations. Sweeping and mopping floor, maintaining clean and stocked restrooms. Servers are expected to report any items requiring maintenance to management. Overall insurance of a friendly, clean, safe and drug-free environment for our guests. Servers are expected to be present and on time to all scheduled shifts. Servers are expected to meet and complete these goals, tasks and those on the duties list in a safe and timely manner. You are expected to inform management immediately of any obstacles that stand in your way of completing these mentioned tasks and goals. All information will be held in strict confidence. Servers should be able to perform essential functions, which require the following abilities. Able to see at a distance and at close range; able to hear in one or both ears; able to read, write and perform addition\subtraction; able to use fingers and hands to carry trays bus tubs, ice buckets, write legibly and operate all necessary equipment; able to bend, reach, climb, walk, and stand for up to eight hours. When under any conditions that hinder any of the above tasks and goals the server is expected to find a qualified replacement for themselves through the assistance of co-workers and management. All replacements or schedule changes must be okayed through management; no exceptions. At a time, which your employment with us needs to be discontinued, a two-week notice is appreciated.
