Job Summary :
Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS), is actively seeking Engineering, Professional, Technical, and Administrative
support personnel as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy at the Y 12 National Security Complex located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and the Pantex Plant located in Amarillo, Texas.
Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance Y-12's core mission to ensure a safe, secure, and reliable .
nuclear deterrent, which is essential to national security. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction and assignments from Y-12 staff employed directly by the security complex.
Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and / or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities :
Reviews and processes CNS craft professional requests for paid sick leave and unpaid time off.
Verifies and inputs leave data into the HR system accurately.
Communicates with employees to resolve issues or discrepancies in leave requests.
Provides general support to the HR department and management team.
Handles and prioritize emails, phone calls, and correspondence related to leave requests.
Assists with the preparation and distribution of communications about leave policies.
Compiles and analyzes leave data to generate reports for management.
Monitors and tracks leave balances to ensure policy compliance.
Maintains and updates employee records related to leave and time off.
Ensures compliance with legal requirements and company policies on leave.
Stays updated on relevant regulations and adjust policies as needed.
Assists with audits and compliance reviews related to leave management.
Recommends improvements to leave management processes.
Participates in developing and implementing new administrative tools.
Identifies and address inefficiencies in current procedures.
Works with HR staff, payroll, and other departments to resolve leave-related issues.
Provides guidance to employees on leave policies and procedures.
Supports cross-departmental communication to ensure seamless leave management.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalent and 4-6 years' experience.
US citizenship required.
