As a Carrier Sales Rep at New Age, you book Truckload freight shipments and coordinate communication between the shipper, carrier and consignee. This position requires an individual with a high degree of organization and initiative, excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Carrier sales and rate negotiations.
- Dispatch high volume of freight (Van, Flatbed, Reeder-truckload).
- Evaluate shipments and select the most cost-effective method of delivery.
- Demonstrate solid decision-making skills and ability to prioritize ever-changing daily tasks through smart-action based critical thinking.
- Responsible for cost containment of shipment.
- A natural on the phone with the ability to connect each and every time.
- Develop and align relevant relationships with clients, understand their priorities and identify business opportunities driving account growth.
- Proactive problem solver who comes to the table with solutions.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with carriers.
- Coordinate efforts and communication with sales department.
- Extensive contract and pricing negotiation.
- Projects as assigned by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years 3PL experience
- High school diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Additional languages are not required, but are an asset
