What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warranty Manager position at Nooter/Eriksen?
Purpose:
The purpose of the job is to lead the Warranty Department as a working manager, in addition to coordinating the company-wide effort to manage FIRs, FCOs and CARs.
Formal Policy Setting Responsibilities
Formally responsible for providing input into policies and making recommendations regarding policies associated with the job's purpose and essential responsibilities.
Routine Decision Making/Problem Solving:
Decisions based on the day-to-day running of the Warranty Department.
Decisions based on resolution of specific warranty claims.
Analyze FIRs, FCOs, CARs and warranty claims for root cause and develop ways to prevent their recurrence.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Coordinate warranty claims
* Resolve FIR, FCO and CARs issued from all departments
* Manage the Warranty Department by transferring knowledge and developing direct reports. Ensure appropriate experiences for full job understanding by trainee(s).
Qualifications:

Required Knowledge:
- Broad understanding of HRSG equipment
- General understanding of performing root cause analysis communicating to appropriate internal and external customers.
Required Skills or Abilities:
- Ability to work with multiple disciplines in order to determine the root cause of FIRs, FCOs, CARs and warranty claims.
- Skilled at implementing change in order to prevent recurrence of problems.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills required.
- Formal Education: Four-year college education.
- Experience: 8 years
Unusual Working Conditions, if any:
Travel 5% of time by plane or car. Ability to read, write, problem solve, make quick decisions, interpret data and analyze results; effective written and verbal communication is essential.
