Our Controls Engineers develop, troubleshoot, and optimize the fiber production processes. They identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, yield, and productivity and then lead them to fruition. They lead projects, develop new manufacturing techniques, and interface with R&D in coordinating the release of new products. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience and safety awareness in process and equipment development.
- A desire to drive, and embrace change every day and do so in a calm and professional demeanor.
- The passion for troubleshooting and developing manufacturing processes.
- Possess a “can do” attitude and be willing to take ownership of a situation while making sound decisions.
- Exceptional project management and team leadership skills.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code, NFPA79 and UL508.
- Strong knowledge of Siemens PLC control systems, including HMI packages such as WinCC Flexible and TIA portal. Allen Bradley experience is a plus.
- Experience in designing control cabinets is required.
- Experience in AutoCAD, Solidworks or other CAD software is required.
- Diverse software skills are a plus (e.g., C, C#, SQL,VB).
- Data analysis skills utilizing Excel, MS Query etc. are a plus.
