What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pizza Manager position at PizzaVola?
PizzaVola is searching for a positive, experienced, and hard-working Manager. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of building teams, establishing internal processes, and increasing sales in a high-volume restaurant.
Our ideal Manager will have an entrepreneurial spirit focused on growing the business and relationships within the community. Excellent customer service is a must, as is a “can do” attitude with a hands-on approach to training.
Experience cooking an Italian-based menu and/or making hand-tossed pizza is a plus. The ideal candidate would have successfully operated a 50-200 seat restaurant.
As a PizzaVola Manager, you will be responsible to oversee daily restaurant operations of both the front of the house and back of the house while hitting key business metrics.
Specific responsibilities of a Restaurant Manager will include but are not limited to:
- Following all PizzaVola core values and successfully training an effective staff for your location.
- Helping establish effective daily routines, policies, and procedures for the new West Melbourne location.
Directly responsible for maintaining ideal staffing levels for your location
Effectively holding the staff responsible for performance by using positive recognition or corrective action if needed.
Adhering to and helping develop initiatives to build sales, increase profitability and improve the overall customer experience.
Always ensuring quality food is being served by actively participating in a scratch kitchen atmosphere.
Fiscal responsibility which includes food and beverage ordering, inventory and portion control, and effective scheduling.
Enforcing safety and sanitary practices at all times.
We require our Restaurant Managers to actively run their location through a variety of day-to-day functions. It is incredibly important that you have a positive, team-oriented attitude to succeed. Throughout the training process, you will be expected to learn and effectively demonstrate every function in every role in the restaurant. This includes serving, working the counter and answering phones, running the kitchen, administrative work, and more. We expect a lot, but offer real advancement opportunities with our ever-growing brand. Applicants who apply should have the following qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of salaried restaurant management experience
Experience cooking Italian dishes and/or making hand-tossed pizzas
Full Casual Dining or Casual Plus environment is preferred
Hands-on experience running the front of the house
Previous exposure to Italian influenced scratch kitchen
Availability to work a flexible schedule
Minimum 21 years of age with legal authorization to work in the United States
