We are hiring a Quality Manager in support of our personal care facility based in Riverside, CA. The Quality Manager is a member of the site leadership team and will help to create a climate of trust, culture of continuous improvement, as well as help lead / support cross-functional and cross-team collaboration opportunities related to quality.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead quality efforts by orienting, training, assigning, and coaching employees.
- Partner with site leadership team in production, productivity, quality customer-service, safety, security, and health standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.
- Manage product quality inspection actions; Assist in resolving product quality standard applications by examining and interpreting specifications and correcting vague references.
- Lead efforts and help identify corrective actions implementation.
- Lead team efforts for collecting, analyzing and summarizing product quality results data and trends.
- Provide training and development in problem solving methods, Design of Experiments (DoE), • Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plans.
- Responsible for Non-Conformance Material Reviews; lead team in developing and coordinating rework of materials while minimizing cost to company.
- Supports LEAN / HACCP concepts and other company standard practices and procedures.
- Fulfill customer requirements relating to engineering or processing, (i.e. FMEA, flow charting, and problem solving)
- Lead customer quality audits- whether it’s new customers or annual inspections, I assume this role will be responsible for leading the location through these audits
- Develop Quality Management System for the plant
- Strong continuous improvement background
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemicals or related science
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in metrics driven environment.
- Personal Care industry is a plus
- FDA and OTC experience
- Auditing experience such as: SQF, GMP and ISO 9001, ISO 22716 is a plus
- SAP or Oracle knowledge is a plus
The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 / year. The hiring base salary range above represents what PLZ reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool. Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
