POSITION TITLE :

Deburr / Grinding / Hand Sanding

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :

This position will be responsible for the manual removal of machining burrs.

REPORTS TO : PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Manual removal of machining burrs from turrets, punch press, sheets, laser and welded parts using industry standard deburr and grind techniques.
• This requires the individual to hand sand, grind, file, deburr, buff and smooth surface metal parts using hand tools or powered equipment requiring care to maintain contour, edges and dimensions.
• The individual will work within the group to achieve quality, productivity, and employee performance goals.
• Comply with all Company policies and safety rules.

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPENTENCIES and PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

• Must be able to maintain a quick and steady pace working efficiently throughout the shift. Typical work shift is from 8 hours.
• Good manual dexterity is required for operating equipment and moving work pieces.
• Rotation of head / neck, bending and twisting at the waist, walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, use of high and low impact vibratory tools, flexion / extension, contact with metals, lubricants, solvents, exposure to noise, and the use of personal safety gear for face, eyes, hand / arm and ears.
• Requires repetitive motion along with lifting and pushing / pulling up to 50 pounds on regular bases.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Adaptable to a changing work environment.
• Frequently lift to / from floor-up to 50 lbs.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $22.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
