Position Summary
This position is responsible to meet the goals and objectives of the organization by being responsible for strategic vendor selection, negotiation, and procurement of critical materials and components. This position will work closely with existing vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Essential Duties and Tasks

- Place substantial purchase orders with selected vendors, ensuring accuracy and completeness of order details.
- Identify and evaluate potential new vendors for critical materials, components, and services.
- Lead the negotiation of supplier contracts, including pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
- Analyze market trends and cost drivers to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process enhancements.
- Ensures that service providers adhere to established service level agreements.
- Negotiates resolution or restitution in cases of substandard service.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to purchasing activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders to prevent stockouts.

Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Education required BS in accounting or business management preferred.
- 7 years of experience with a requirement of 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment.

- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Outlook email and calendar. PeopleSoft a plus

- Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
