We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an HR Assistant in Reno, Nevada. The role involves a variety of HR tasks, such as recruiting, onboarding, monitoring training progress, and providing office support. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting with employee questions regarding policies and benefits, as well as administering staff training.
Responsibilities:
- Post jobs, screen resumes, and conduct phone and in-person interviews to recruit talent
- Onboard and provide orientation for new hires
- Monitor training progress through records and assessment tests to ensure employee job competency
- Improve and motivate employee engagement
- Assist with employee questions regarding policies and benefits
- Assist with health insurance enrollment
- Assist with reviewing monthly invoices relating to benefits (e.g., health insurance, company phone plan, etc.)
- Assist with auditing timesheets
- Administer staff training
- Provide office support, including managing office supplies, mail distribution, and coordinating the resolution of facility issues
- Participate in various projects and assist with research.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role
- Proficiency with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
- Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
- Experience with Ceridian, HRMS, and About Time software
- Understanding of Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration
- Knowledge of HR Compliance and Employee Relations
- Experience with Full Cycle Recruiting and Volume Recruiting
- Ability to use various Recruiting Sources
- Familiarity with various Human Resources software tools
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
