What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Robert Half?
Robert Half is recruiting a Paralegal for the Marin office (hybrid telecommute) of our large law firm client. The Paralegal will assist 3-4 labor & employment attorneys who work with municipality and public sector clientele. This position has a mix of paralegal and litigation legal secretary duties and also has a diverse and interesting workload, including attending some workplace investigations with the attorneys to take notes and summarize witness interviews as well as assisting with searching databases as part of large document reviews.
Required qualifications:
- 2 years of civil litigation support experience as a paralegal and/or legal secretary;
- Paralegal Certificate or equivalent work experience;
- Proficiency using e-discovery and/or electronic document management systems (e.g., IManage);
- Good knowledge of state, Federal, and administrative court rules and procedures for preparing pleadings (incl. some cite checking) and doing e-filings and service on the parties;
- Other software skills include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe, and
- High attention to detail, strong organizational and administrative skill set, and great word processing, editing and proofreading skills.
