Do you have exemplary communication skills and an eagerness to advance your career? As a Payroll Clerk for one of our clients, you would become an integral part of the Payroll department. This permanent position is a terrific opportunity and is based in the Meridian, Idaho area. Your time will be spent on tasks such as entering data, reconciling timecards, distribution paychecks, and producing statements for various departments. This position requires a high level of communication to work with internal team members, as well as outside customers.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
- Make reports easily accessible by administer/saving them as instructed
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
- Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals
- Other duties as assigned
- Build and run custom reports
- Fill in data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Requirements
- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
- Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
- Solid understanding of payroll
- Previous payroll experience
- Payroll software experience is a plus
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
- Proven ability to quickly learn new systems
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
