OVERVIEW:
The Office Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Plant office and Administrative Assistant staff. This position will also assist the Quality, Inventory, and Production Planning Departments as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong organization, communication, and planning skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with Facilities & Maintenance Manager for office maintenance and repairs
- Manage office supplies inventory and office equipment coordinating with IT when necessary
- Maintain standard office procedures and professional office appearance
- Coordinate Plant tours and provide general support to visitors
- Supervise Administrative Assistants, delegate tasks as needed, and provide backup support
- Oversee accurate and timely timecard entry
- Facilitate billing, coding, and expense management in various systems
- Collect, review, and analyze data as requested by the Director of Manufacturing
- In collaboration with HR, plan and coordinate Plant meetings and Employee engagement functions
- Coordinate with HR to update and maintain office policies to ensure policies coincide with Plant’s operations and objectives
- Communicate, as directed, with temporary agencies for start and end of assignments as needed
- Collaborate with HR and temporary agencies with onboarding activities for new hires
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or Administrative Assistant.
- Strong proficiency (5 years of experience) in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Initiative to seek out opportunities to contribute to the overall team
- A creative mind with the ability to suggest improvements
- Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure multiple deadlines are met
- Associates Degree in Business or other similar or equivalent education and/or training preferred
- 2 Years of supervisory experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Office Manager spends most of their time at the company’s manufacturing plant. At the plant, work is performed in a traditional manufacturing environment, with higher noise levels and frequent movement of people and equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly sit, stand, and walk for long and short distances.
- Required to hear with or without correction to be able to interpret and receive information and directions.
- Regularly required to communicate: verbal and written, in order to describe and explain detailed, important, and accurate instructions.
- Occasionally lift and/ or move material up to 25 lbs.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- The noise level is usually moderate.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing

LOCATION:
Construction Innovations facilities and offices are located in Sacramento, CA, and Mather, CA.
COMPENSATION:
Construction Innovations pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee’s knowledge, experience, and skill level.
