General Office Manager
Job purpose:
Under the overall supervision of the managing director of the company S&B Glass, the general office manager is to provide overall administrative and assistance to the company. He/she develops, implements, and provides support to customers and employees.
Job description:
- Coordinate and schedule employees daily tasks.
- Answer telephones and respond to inquiries via telephone or email.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate individuals.
- Assisting with billing customers and maintain the client's files.
- Perform routine bookkeeping tasks.
- Monitors and orders office and warehouse supplies as appropriate, and monitors the maintenance needs of office equipment.
- Sorts, distributes, and sends incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and branch data processing reports.
- Make and confirm travel arrangements for out of state jobs.
- Document financial information and maintain confidential files/records.
- Perform administrative tasks, including filing and photocopying.
Qualifications:
- Formal qualification in office administration, work or related training is an asset
- Experience working with word processing, spreadsheets, and emails, including Microsoft and Google Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in appointments scheduling and call forwarding systems
- Ability to observe business etiquette and maintain a professional appearance
Health & Safety:
As you will work in an office setting you are responsible for maintaining the sanitation/maintenance of your office space. The office is located within a commercial building that is close to heavy machinery and glass equipment. This material will not enter the office space, but you may enter these other designated areas. You will not be required to handle and maintain heavy machinery for any jobs.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $12.00 - $27.00 per hour
