Santa is looking for a Men’s Buyer with multi-brand omni-channel experience, an elevated taste level, strong vendor relationships and communication skills. As a Buyer, you will set the short and long range merchandising strategy for multiple categories, craft compelling assortments, work closely with our retail team, analyze KPIs, and execute weekly initiatives.
You will:
- Lead, manage, and deliver merchandising strategies across multiple categories, sourcing objectives, and markets.
- Develop a vendor matrix and product strategy for new launches and existing markets that balances key items, trends, price points, and local market needs.
- Analyze product performance, report on all KPIs to stakeholders, identify areas for growth, forecast inventory needs, and utilize metrics to develop immediate and long range action plans.
- Daily sync with store teams to gain real time feedback and prioritize shifting needs.
- Oversee PO entry, SKUs, and sample orders to ensure accuracy.
- Partner with cross functional teams on developing new initiatives, special projects, and business opportunities.
- Consistently monitor industry trends, the competitive market, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years buying experience for a department or specialty multi-brand retailer.
- Previous experience buying 3rd party Men’s apparel, accessories, and technology with relevant connections in the industry.
- Entrepreneurial with a strong track record of developing significant incremental volume opportunities, brand collaborations, and opening new markets.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot quickly based on evolving needs of a new startup.
- Elevated taste level, awareness of the competitive landscape, passion for trends, and strong understanding of product life cycle and industry shifts.
- Knowledge of digital merchandising, including content and copy standards.
- Demonstrated ability to forecast sales and inventory projections.
- Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, solution and task-oriented.
- Strong working knowledge of retail systems, google drive, and ability to create ad-hoc reports.
