We are currently seeking an Internal Auditor for our 1st shift at our El Cajon location.
Compensation: $83,000.00- $104,000.00 a year.
What does the job involve?
This position will audit company compliance quality systems. The systems auditor will have responsibilities for following Jet Products and Ketema internal audit schedule to completion, leading third-party audits (AS9100, NADCAP, & Customer). This position requires the ability to work in a team environment, follow audit trails, write technically, delegate, and manage open action items. Organization skills are critical for this position.
What will my responsibilities include?
- Review audit-related root causes and corrective action submittals.
- Create substantive and meaningful audit reports.
- Populate audit database with internal & external audit results, coordinate and support external customer and third-party audits.
- Performs Internal audits based on AS9100, ISO9001, customer, and internal requirements. Plan, communicate, and clarify the purpose and scope of the audit to responsible department representatives.
- Collect and analyze evidence to determine whether processes are being audited.
- Documenting internal audits to an agreed-upon standard, and performing follow-up actions to ensure that corrective actions have been effectively implemented.
- Control of nonconformance and root cause analysis process, collecting and documenting audit findings and observations.
- Observing employees while at work, documenting the outcome of adherence to procedures, and suggesting corrective action if required.
- Takes steps to ensure that procedures and specifications are communicated with employees of the various departments and inform the areas of their strengths and weaknesses.
What key skills and experience do I need?
- Knowledge of basic audit principles and practices, as well as basic assessment techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating, and reporting.
- Analytical, investigative, and error-spotting skills.
- Report writing using various tools and applications.
- Effective communication and persuasion techniques.
- Learning to be objective rather than going strictly by the rulebook.
- Being able to perform a risk analysis to the satisfaction of the stakeholders or departments.
- Able to manage progress and status of critical action items.
What qualifications should I have?
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Finance, or other analytical field and/or related experience.
Experience: 5 years of related experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
Prior experience with AS9100, NADCAP, RCCA, or SSA is highly desired. Certified Quality Auditor to ISO 9001 or similar preferred
