Job Title: Mainframe Developer
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Contract: 12 months
Summary:
- We are seeking a qualified Mainframe Developer to join our client’s team and provide Information Technology services. As an Mainframe developer, you will work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements and design quality technical solutions aligned with business and IT strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions.
- Ensure solutions comply with the organization's architectural standards and align with business and IT strategies.
- Participate in the full systems life cycle, including designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting applications software.
- Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
- Participate in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation, and buy vs. build recommendations.
- Demonstrate expertise in systems analysis, design, and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or five (5) years equivalent work experience (Or) Minimum of two (2) years of programming/systems analysis experience in a mainframe environment (COBOL, Natural, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with IT policies, procedures, and technical standards.
- Ability to provide documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer to the Department's staff.
Salary : $45 - $55
