What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Manager position at SKC, Inc.?
The HR Manager supports the employee relations, benefit administration, workers compensation, unemployment compensation, FMLA and other related HR functions for all employees including, but not limited to:
- Review and ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files
- Manage compliance to all relevant HR laws and regulations.
- Identify sources of talent, screen applicants, provid hiring managers with viable candidates, and schedule and participate in interview panels.
- Manage the recruiting and hiring process as well as assist in the life cycle processes of hiring, promoting, evaluating, counseling, discipling, transferring, terminating, and retiring employees.
- Implement initiatives which will increase employee retention, including new employee onboarding and performance development.
- Assist and support Company leaders with handling and resolving HR issues by providing expert advice and guidance to operation and department leaders.
- Requires an understanding of employee compensation and benefits including FMLA, Workers? Compensation, Short and long-term disability.
Education/Credentials/Licensure Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field (Required)
- Masters Degree (Preferred)
- SPHR/PHR Certification (Preferred)
- Valid driver?s license and auto insurance (Required)
Experience Requirements
- Three - five years experience in a Human Resources department with responsibility for employee relations.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Clearances. Pre-employment drug-screening required.
Working Conditions:
- Physical Demands. Requires vision, speech and hearing.
- Environmental. Office; Travel to various SKC, Inc. locations in area of responsibility expected.
- Working Hours: Monday - Friday, normal business hours; flexibility to business needs.
This is a Full Time Position Paying $65,000 - $75,000 a year
