JOB PURPOSE
The Purpose of the Metal Fabricator I is to Cut, Grind, and MIG Weld required materials per enclosures, frames, bracket drawings & customer specifications.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Empty
- Cut raw materials, grind welds to a flush condition & MIG weld enclosures & frames per print drawing specifications.
- Follow and maintain all established safety standards and procedures while utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Train, inspect, and perform autonomous maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are reliable and in safe working condition.
- Follow and maintain all established quality requirements, standards and procedures.
- Monitor inventory of all materials, equipment and tools used in the production cell.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members through effective communications while building and maintaining trust & respect.
- Identify and suggest safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction ideas through department team meetings and or manufacturing manager.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 Years Relevant Experience
- Basic Weld Test
- Ability to respectfully collaborate with coworkers and shop personnel.
- Be familiar with common steel and other types of materials.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Equipment Knowledge & Skills – experience with a variety of hand tools and welding equipment.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or drawing, print, diagram form
