Installation Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Installation Technician to join our team. As an Installation Technician at SmartTouchUSA, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of advanced home automation systems, including audio/video setups, lighting, climate control, and security systems. You will work closely with project managers, programmers, and clients to ensure the successful integration of these systems into high-end residential environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and troubleshoot home automation systems (Crestron, Lutron, Savant, etc.) and associated hardware (audio/video equipment, lighting control, security systems).

Perform wiring, cable management, and system connections to ensure clean and efficient installations.

Collaborate with project managers, programmers, and other team members to deliver high-quality installations that meet client specifications.

Conduct on-site testing and calibration of installed systems to ensure optimal performance and seamless operation.

Provide training and support to clients on how to use their newly installed technology.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues that may arise during or after the installation process.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry technologies and integration solutions.

Ensure that all work complies with safety standards and project requirements.

Qualifications:

Proven experience (2 years) in the installation of home automation systems, with specific experience in Crestron, Lutron, or similar control systems.

Strong understanding of lighting control, motorized shading, audio/visual systems, networking, security systems, and smart home integration technologies.

Knowledge of structured cabling and the ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with high-end clientele.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Crestron, Lutron, or similar systems.

Experience in programming and configuring control systems.

Familiarity with security systems, motorized shades, lighting control, lighting design, audio/video systems and other technologies.
